Lititz Man Accused Of Raping Child Turns Himself In: Police

A Lititz man is facing multiple charges, including the rape of a child, after turning himself in to Northern Lancaster County Regional Police on Friday, Jan. 16.

Josue Efrain Rivera, 42, surrendered to police after notifying Lancaster County Dispatch of his intent to report to the NLCRPD station, according to investigators. Rivera is accused of sexually assaulting a child under 13, authorities said.

The alleged abuse occurred at a residence on the 800 block of Hopeland Road in Clay Township, police detailed.

Following an investigation, detectives interviewed Rivera and gathered evidence confirming the allegations. He has been charged with:

  • Felony Rape of a Child (three counts)

  • Felony Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child (two counts)
  • Felony Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse
  • Felony Indecent Assault - Child Under 13 (three counts)
  • Felony Corruption of Minors
  • Felony Unlawful Contact with a Minor

Rivera was arraigned before the on-call magistrate and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Landis, although his court docket was unavailable at the time of publishing.
